The Camera Saga Endeth

February 22, 2009 by Lauren 12 Comments

The trouble with Friday’s post was that it was written long ago when I still had the Fuji camera. I quit agonizing about my camera troubles the very next day because I finally ordered one that meets all my requirements: fits in my pocket, has the right-sized memory stick and charges with a cable/dock! It’s perfect!

I can’t flip the photo.

Look familiar? No, it’s not the old one. Here’s the old one.

Lloyd and I both got some pretty good shocks taking that apart the night it died. (Me because I foolishly didn’t take the battery out, Lloyd because the flux capacitor for the flash discharged. It had over 30 tiny screws holding it together.)

I’m such a sheep. I don’t take good photos with it, but it turns out that I don’t take good photos with any camera. Plus, I had all the stuff for this one already, which was a good thing. This was an open-box buy (meaning it was on sale), and the package was missing a cable. See? I’m supposed to have it.

Now if I can just keep from dropping it.

You should dip it in that latex coating they sell for hardware tools. Then it would have a protective cover that nothing could get through.

That camera is so cute. Where did you find it? And, an open box deal, no less! 😀

So, what’s the difference between a flux capacitor and an electrolytic capacitor?

You have to travel 88mph for the flux capacitor to work.

I got one of those soft rubber cases for my cell phone, so that if (no, when) I drop it, it will sorta bounce, rather than breaking. I wonder if they have anything like that for cameras…

I’m confused…did you get the same camera you had? Or did you just get a “DIY” camera kit that you had to put together yourself?

It’s a new camera, same style as the old dead one. I actually ordered this one in ‘glamour gold’, but they accidentally sent the black one. That’s ok – he offered a refund to ‘make me forget about the color’, which was funny enough to accept!

Beth, I got it on Amazon.com. God bless the internet.
