We’re having dress-up days at school for Week of the Young Child, and so far they’ve been pretty easy – Hat Day, Sports Day (I wore Lloyd’s Cardinals shirt), Mix-N-Match, Pajama Day (which was yesterday and was AWESOME), and Disney Costume Day. The ‘Disney’ just means something nice – no characters that fight or have weapons. (I know, I’m a wet blanket.)
Anyway, the costume day really stumped me. Short of wearing my wedding dress and being Giselle, I really had little choice.
I’m going with cat ears and drawn-on whiskers. Good ’nuff.

Each year when we do this for Lutheran Schools Week, I search online for dress day ideas. There are some really creative ones that I would never have thought of.
I’m glad we don’t do Disney Day though. I have a hard enough time with “sports shirt day”. What the heck am I supposed to wear on a day like that? Maybe next time it happens, I’ll make some cat ears.

“…even though you’re vermin…”
Hahaha! I haven’t watched that in a long time.

The vision of you as Giselle was awesome…has anyone ever been THAT PERKY?!? She’s exhausting.
Peggy says
Excellent! Are you any cat in particular? An Aristocat? Figaro?
I was the Cat in the Hat once. I remember making the tall hat was a little bit of a challenge.
(love the song btw. I’m going to sing it today as I work…of course I’ll have to change the lyrics to fit my duties)

I think you should have worn the wedding dress. The kids would all have thought you were Cinderella. I just know it.
Peggy says
That’s funny you should mention Cinderella. Just this week at work we were singing all the songs from Cinderella….I still remember all lyrics…it was so fun!!
